Other Ceremonies

Commitment Ceremony – $350

In our ever-changing world, couples seek to commit their lives to one another in a ceremony that reflects their values and their love for each other as well as to family and friends.

A commitment ceremony is often very similar to a marriage ceremony. The primary difference is that there are no legal requirements or conditions. It is simply a public affirmation of a couple’s commitment to one another. To be able to stand up in front of your life-partner and guests to make a commitment of love for the rest of your life will mean as much to you as it would any couple – and this is what I want for you.

And because your commitment to one another is something so special, I will arrange a professionally printed colour certificate which can be signed by all parties as a keepsake of your commitment ceremony.

Terms & conditions:  50% deposit due upon booking services and for work undertaken. Remaining 50% due (up to 14 days) prior to the ceremony date.

Renewal of Wedding Vows – $350

A Renewal of Vows Ceremony is a perfect way for a couple to express how they feel about their relationship now – years after their marriage ceremony. It is popular to have this ceremony as part of a significant wedding anniversary celebration; amongst devoted family and friends who have supported you throughout your marriage. Your family and friends may also wish to participate in the ceremony by reading special verses or poems.

Couples who choose to have an intimate wedding (such as an elopement) or who have married overseas may want to have a renewal of vows ceremony with their family and friends who were unable to join them for their wedding.

Couples who have had a separation may also want to demonstrate their renewed commitment with a renewal of vows ceremony.

You may wish to base your vows on the words used in your original marriage ceremony, or by creating a whole new service reflecting on the pathways your lives have taken. This will be a beautiful moment in time to relive with your chosen guests; a declaration that love and partnerships can stand the tests of time and be victorious!

However you celebrate, it will be sure to rekindle those sparks of love and joy you first felt on the day you were first married.

A Renewal of Vows Certificate and a presentation copy of your ceremony, is presented to you as a keepsake.

Terms & conditions:  50% deposit due upon booking services and for work undertaken. Remaining 50% due (up to 14 days) prior to the ceremony date.

Naming Ceremony – $250

Many parents in our modern society are choosing to have a naming ceremony for their baby/child rather than a religious christening or baptism, as it allows the child to choose their own beliefs and values when they are older.

The aim of the naming ceremony is to formally welcome a child or children into the family and community of friends and other special people.

Popular times to have a naming ceremony are shortly after the baby’s birth or on the child’s first birthday as part of the celebrations. There are certainly no age limits to naming ceremonies and can include other children in the family who have not previously been given a naming ceremony.

It is a tradition for the parents to select mentors or guardians who they know will take a vested interest in and guide the child as they grow to adulthood.

I encourage participation of family members and special people in your lives during the ceremony through readings (religious if the parents choose) and poems especially chosen for the occasion. A tree planting, balloon release (with wish cards tied to them) or butterfly release can be a memorable way to include your guests. A wishing box is also a treasured keepsake that could be included.

Naming ceremonies are also a beautiful and significant way to welcome adopted children or step children into a family.

I am happy to offer ideas and suggestions to help make the day a moment in time that you, your family, and your friends will remember. A personalised certificate will be presented to you (signed by all involved) as well as a presentation copy of the service as a keepsake.

Terms & conditions:  50% deposit due upon booking services and for work undertaken. Remaining 50% due (up to 14 days) prior to the ceremony date.

Funerals & Memorials – $300

I consider it the highest honour when asked to be the Celebrant for a loved one’s passing. Funeral services can also be a celebration of life and they can include tributes, eulogies, readings, music and rituals. They may be held in chapels, public halls, private homes, parks and other locations.

These services help us acknowledge that someone we love has passed. They offer continuity and hope for the living and provide a support system for family members, friends and the community. They allow us to look back and reflect on our loved one’s life, their achievements, their impact on our lives and the love they shared with us.

We walk away with wonderful memories, and it’s these memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Terms & conditions:  50% deposit due upon booking services and for work undertaken. Remaining 50% due (up to 14 days) prior to the ceremony date.
